History and developement

In the year 1969 Ernst Klimmer took over the firm where he had trained for his job. In the beginning, only moulds and cutting dies were produced. But very soon orders for sample parts and smaller punchings were placed necessitating a first company expansion. At that time, the orders were mainly coming from winter sport industry, for example bindings for cross-country skis or ski stoppers.

Development of independent know how and the speedy extension of the production facilities were a good way of approaching automobile industry. Mainly the 16 mm-thick exhaust flanges helped the company Klimmer gain a reputable name.

When moving to its current location in 1987 the enterprise set the course for further expansion which has been continuing until now.

Today Klimmer produce sheet metal parts directly for automobile manufacturers or for system suppliers and for customers from other industries.
